Thoughtful psychotherapy for people navigating questions of meaning, authenticity and personal identity.
My work may resonate with you if you are:
- ✧ searching for a deeper sense of purpose or direction
- ✧ navigating life as an autistic or neurodivergent person
- ✧ feeling disconnected from your intuition or creativity
-
✧
untangling internalised shame, perfectionism, or roles you've outgrown.
I specialise in supporting autistic adults with their emotional and mental health. However, the way I work may also be well suited to neurodivergent people broadly, as we centre your experience of the world without need for correction or confirmity. The therapy I provide may also be a good fit for you if you are a sensitive being who feels things deeply, and struggles to navigate how overwhelming this can be.
The foundations of my psychotherapy training are person-centred, which means I keep each client at the centre of their own therapy. I am conscious of power imbalances, and curious about how life is experienced by you, rather than how we’re told we should experience things. I make space for the ways in which you may be coming up against the parts of a world that weren’t built with your needs in mind, and to find the parts you feel at home in.
Through my ongoing learning, I’ve integrated different tools into my way of working to become a supportive guide through therapy. I’m passionate about meaning-making, empowerment and self-discovery; about the deeper questions, and the complexities of being human. I have a special interest in the way creative approaches, such as writing, image-making, or working with metaphor, can help us express our emotions when words are hard to find.
This way of working may be particularly useful if you struggle with rumimation, or get stuck analysing how you feel but are unable to actually feel it. In this way, creativity may help us to connect with our bodies and the felt sense. It can be an unexpected pathway back to the knowledge you already carry but may have lost touch with, helping you to reconnect with your own inner compass. No artistic or creative skill is necessary, and how big or small a role creative work plays in therapy is up to you. All you need is an open mind and curiosity as to what may unfold.
You don't need a diagnosis or any labels to begin exploring the ways we are both unique and interconnected. Please get in touch if you'd like to work together.
